The Two Elk shooting area near Minturn has 4 shooting lanes separated by rail fencing. There is a picnic table and shooting table at each lane. The access road is open to vehicles from May 21 - November 22. Travel west on I-70 to exit 171 for Minturn, Leadville, and Hwy 24. Turn right and travel south 2.7 miles and into Minturn to Cemetery Bridge. Turn left, cross the bridge and tracks, then proceed south past the cemetery. Go right at the first fork and left at the second fork. Follow this somewhat rough dirt road about 1.8 miles to the shooting range on the right.

Camp Fickes is an old U.S. Army facility near Bailey managed by the Buffalo Creek Gun Club. Open to the general public on a day pass basis. There is no water, electricity, cell service, or shotgun shooting. No flush toilet facilities are available. You must go to website to make a reservation, complete forms, and pay fees. Range will be open to the general public every Saturday and Sunday 9AM till 4PM from Memorial Day weekend through the last weekend in October.
Colorado Springs area largest public facility is a partnership between the U.S. Army, El Paso County, the El Paso County Sheriff, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and the U.S. Forest Service. The 400 acre site sits on Army land near Interstate 25 just off mile marker 132. The entrance is located just outside Fort Carson's Gate 20 security perimeter. The Colorado Rifle Club was founded in 1925. Facility has 7 different firing ranges on 2,565 acres located near Byers, CO. The club is private and is never open to the general public except where Match Directors allow non-members to participate in scheduled events.
